Already January 28th I presented you the new stunning beautiful Omega Speedmaster, today I have first live taken pictures for you…
Here is the story I wrote end of January…
Hands-On: Omega Speedmaster Co-Axial Master Chronometer Chronograph Moonphase 44.25 mm
Today I had the chance to see the watch and to take first pictures …
Simply STUNNING!
Now let us zoom into the dial …
The bezel ring is in ceramic, with a tachymeter scale in Liquidmetal
Let´s zoom into the moon phase …
We will discover something absolutely unexpected …
Omega likes to impress its clients …
Two small photo-realistic moons with, and now please read carefully, the first foot-print on lunar surface are metallised on the moon phase disc. Even the location for it was chosen upon history: The footstep, representing humanity’s famous step onto the moon, is within the Sea of Tranquility on the moon phase disc. The realization of the moon is based on a high resolution NASA image.
I like it!
What do you think?
Let me know!
The watch is powered by the Omega Co-Axial Master Chronometer calibre 9904, the first chronograph moonphase movement bearing the Master Chronometer certification.
Omega combined the classic moonphase display with the watch that went to the moon …
Wow, stunning! Also the size is perfect for me. Can´t wait to see it in flesh …
What a lovely watch and perfect size, 44.5mm, what is the expected cost?
Many thanks
What a fantastic piece, 17mm is a tad high though.
It is a beautiful watch… It would be nice to have an option or rubber strap…
Beautiful in blue. The footprint is a nice bit of whimsy too. I would want to try one on first for comfort. I have Seamaster >15.000 Gauss that keeps excellent time and very comfortable to wear. I am sold on the coaxial in silicon.
Exactly the same for me. The > 15’000 is the best time keeping watch I own, since I have it, I am totally convinced of the co-axial.
Simply beautiful. I will consider selling another watch in order to get this fantastic piece.
David, I thought doing exactly the same
Very clever – not only the footprint but the use of the Omega letter to highlight the date. One thing that puzzles me is the dial on the right – I would expect that to be the minutes totalizer for the chrono function but it seems to be marked as if it is a regular 12 hour dial.
It’s a two-in-one counter and it shows the elapsed time with a minute and hour hand. So it is easy to read and when staring exactly at 12:00 you can use it as a second zone-time indication when travelling.
This Swiss lady looks stunning, she will get lot of attention and plenty of offers to be taken out for a dinner.
Just beautiful. Wondering how “thick” the watch is in mm? Looks pretty tall.
Diameter : 44.25 mm Height : 17.05 mm … Fits perfectly on the wrist!!!
Thank you!
I beg to differ Alexander, I think it is much too thick.
I mostly wear thick watches, so for me it fits well… I have no thin or ultra thin watches in my collection
I like it! The Moon is superb!
Only grouse that I have about this watch, is its size, in fact, I wish it was 40-mm instead of 44.25-mm.
Enjoyed the XL-sized pictures immensely though!
A must have. I will sell my car.
The watch looks stunning, but I wish Omega would offer versions in different sizes, including 40mm or 42mm.
A winner! The 44.5mm dia. is perfect. But the moon phase is striking. An important improvement over other moon phases in much more expensive time pieces.
Spectacular! Love the foot-print and the lunar surface resolution is incredible. Can’t wait to see it.
