Türler Watches & Jewelry in Zürich celebrates 130 years. A photo reportage with surprises in three parts …

On Tuesday I attended the 130 years celebration of Türler at Paradeplatz in Zürich. Throughout this evening CEO Franz Türler also presented a very special book. Come in and join the birthday celebration …

The Türler company was founded as a watchmaking manufactory in Bienne Switzerland on Monday, February 5, 1883. In 1893 the family Türler also founded a specialized shop for watches and jewelry in Zürich. In 1907 the shop located in the Savoy-Hotel at Paradeplatz in the heart of Zürich was opened. The Bahnhofstrasse and the Paradeplatz are today the banking and shopping hot spots of Switzerland – no doubt. You will find all big names there and among them the privately owned business by the Türler family.

CEO Franz Türler told me:

“Türler is one of the few remaining privately owned businesses in the watch and jewelry trade. In an era of constant change with mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, and shutdowns, this is almost a mark of excellence itself. But Türler stands out with more than 120 years of experience in the domains of watches, jewelry, and precious stones. This background governs our style and our approach. At Türler, the customer is in the focal point. We want our customers to be nothing less than totally satisfied.”

I met CEO Franz Türler just before the beginning of the celebration on Tuesday. Please take some time and listen to the things one of the most successful retailers in Switzerland had to say.

Already in 1951 the Family Türler opened their first little shop at the Zürich International Airport. Today Türler runs a big own store there, an IWC and an Omega boutique. You definitively can´t miss Türler at the Zürich (ZRH) Airport.

When I was 13 years old, we visited Zurich on our return to the US after spending 2 years in Istanbul,Turkey. My parents allowed us one gift on our trip home. While visiting Zurich my sister and I choose the Omega Seamaster (Turler) watches, one in gold and one in silver. I still have my Omega. Unfortunatley the watch no longer works, but it reminds me of Zurich and the wonderful time we had traveling Europe.

What a wonderful creation that is without words-absolutely amazing.
Does this clock have a teleportation pod into the future or back to the past as well? LOL
