The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Concept Supersonnerie
A first prototype was shown to me last year and now we have the market-ready products. This by far the loudest minute repeater on the market and one of the finest sounding one.

Tell me, is there any difference between a sonnerie and a minute repeater? I think it is just sematic thing, but inquiring minds want to know.

I found my answer on AP’s website. The Diver chrono case is 14.75mm thick and the regular 42mm Offshore is 14.20mm thick. I’m somewhat surprised the Diver is thicker, but I guess you have to build up the case to withstand water pressure at 300m.
I like the Offshore Diver chronos. They harken back to the early Offshores that came in tropical colors. I’m curious what is the case thickness of the Diver versus the regular 42mm Offshore?

Alex, like your sound reading of the new concept watch. Very clear sound which I know is something very difficult to achieve. Remember when the Sonnata came out by UN and the late Rolf Schnyder explained to a few people how difficult it is to achieve a clear gong or multiples within a wristwatch.
