What I can show you here is still a concept watch, but I assume this TAG Heuer will become reality in only a short while.
The TAG Heuer Carrera MikroPendulumS is a Carrera MikrotourbillonS with two magnetic Pendulums replacing the hairsprings. One is used for telling the time and the other one for timekeeping. The movement is composed of 454 working components and once more based on the TAG Heuer-patented technology already mentioned at the various other presented models underneath this post.
The watch related Pendulum turns at 12 Hz and the chronograph related Pendulum turns at 50 Hz with a power reserve of 60 minutes. The chronograph tourbillon, the world’s fastest, controls the 1/100th of a second and therefore beats 360,000 times an hour and rotates 12 times a minute.
The case of this concept watch is forged from a revolutionary material based on chrome and cobalt used in aviation and surgery. It is fully biocompatible, harder than titanium, easier to shape and as luminous as white gold.
The TAG Heuer Carrera MikroPendulumS case design, with its handheld stopwatch-like placement of the crown at 12 o’clock, is based on the 2012 Aiguille d’Or winner, the TAG Heuer Carrera Mikrogirder, and the Carrera 50 Year Anniversary Jack Heuer edition.
The two tourbillon Pendulums and their solid rose gold bridges (worked in 18 carat, 5N gold) are visible through the fine-brushed anthracite dial.
