The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride is global charity event raising funds and awareness for prostate cancer research and men’s mental health programs on behalf of charity partner the Movember Foundation.
The event is a mixture of men and women, classic and vintage styled motorbikes and dapper style. A day where all gentlefolk are distinguished worldwide, riding classic styled motorbikes. It is a day of spreading merriment as well as working together to support the health of men. On Sunday September 25th 2016, more than 50,000 smartly dressed gentlefolk in over 550 cities will straddle the saddles of their café racers, bobbers, scramblers and other marvelous custom and classic motorcycles. Zenith is partnering with the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride, celebrating timeless design and ageless mechanic for a cause, and has committed to raise to 50,000 USD for men’s health programs. The Zenith team has now increased their fundraising goal to 100,000 USD, having already almost smashed through the 40,000 USD mark.
So far 1.7 Million USD has been raised and 30,000 smartly dressed gentlefolk have already signed up to raise awareness and help fund the cure for prostate cancer.
Founded in 2012 by Mark Hawwa, the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride is a global charity event raising funds and awareness for prostate cancer research and men’s mental health programs on behalf of charity partner the Movember Foundation.
To help the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride, only five (!) special editions of the Zenith Pilot Ton-Up chronograph powered by the El Primero calibre have been created. The chronographs evokes strong character, originality, freedom and style, perfectly in tune with the spirit of the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride.
One of these unique Zenith Pilot Ton-Up chronographs will be awarded to the highest fundraiser within the Zenith Watches Team, three will be awarded to the top fundraisers within the entire Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride campaign and the final chronograph, numbered “00”, will be auctioned off during an exclusive black-tie event in London on September 27th, hosted by Huntsman and The Rake
