When Karl-Friedrich Scheufele took the decision to develop his first in-house calibre and then to build up the Chopard Manufacture he was ahead of time. In 1996 I was among the very first journalist to see the first developed calibre L.U.C 1.96 and the new Chopard Manufacture in Fleurier.
