I was told the quantities delivered are still very small, but the 40 /37 mm Everose Yacht-Master with the new sophisticated Oysterflex bracelet did hit the markets. Let me again show you pictures and give you detailed information about the watch and its price …
The interest for the new Rolex Oyster Perpetual Yacht-Master during Baselworld 2015 was huge. I was among the very first to publish live taken pictures and the feedback I got was great…
So let us start right away with some new pictures …
The Rolex Oyster Perpetual Yacht-Master is offered in two sizes: 40 mm and a new 37 mm diameter…
The Oyster Perpetual Yacht-Master’s new Oysterflex bracelet, by the way developed and patented by Rolex, attaches to the watch case and the Oysterlock safety clasp by a flexible titanium and nickel alloy metal blade. The blade is overmoulded with high-performance black elastomer which is particularly resistant to environmental effects, very durable and perfectly inert for the wearer of the watch.
For enhanced comfort, the inside of the Oysterflex bracelet is equipped with a patented longitudinal cushion system that stabilizes the watch on the wrist …
This is the most sophisticated rubber strap I have ever seen! And, it fits perfectly on the wrist!

Well, the look of most Rolex watches doesn’t match my taste. This one doesn’t look like a typical Rolex which is positive for me.
Viewed from a little distance – like you usually see a watch that you don’t wear yourself – it doesn’t look bad. On the other hand it is quite unspectacular. There is nothing that makes me want to pay more than 20k Euro for this watch.
The details probably are a matter of taste. For me the hands are too old-fashioned and too playful for a contemporary watch, especially for a sports watch. The round hour markers are too big. The numbers on the bezel are too big (and still a bit hard to read). And I really hate that cyclops date lens.
But the most important point for me is the following: A sports watch and a dive watch in particular in a gold case does make no sense! This kind of watch is worn by very old men who feel the need to compensate. Guys, wearing a golden dive watch is embarrassing.
I completely agree with your last statement!
And what is particularly interesting about it: When IWC introduced its gold Aquatimer in 2009 (Ref. 3769) the watch world was shouting and pointing at the stupidity of producing a dive watch made of gold. And now, the world is cheering and applauding Rolex for their excellent move to produce a golden dive watch (see also, for example, comments on Hodinkee).
Except of it is NOT A DIVE WATCH.
This looks like a cool watch , not a box standard Rolex and will become a must have for Rolex lovers. The good news, you don’t need a fat bank account and good value for money. If the watch had name Hublot, the price will be three time , only for rich and famous.
Rolex have done a good job, now people will head for Rolex shop instead Hoblot and have got Mr Biver to think what to do with Rolex cool must have low price watch.
Alexander – it may be worth to not that each model comes with a different movement – 40mm features 3135 and 37mm features 2236.
2236 is the new generation Rolex movements with a silicone balance spring.
Tom, thanks for reminding me! I will add this information a.s.a.p.
I think it is a beautiful watch. I tried it on recently and I only wish Rolex wil match also a bracelet to it in the near future.
Well, I have been a Rolex-lover for umpteen years, so to me, all Rolex watches are ultra-cool.
Normally we could enlarge your pictures by clicking on them, but here the pictures are like 84.3 KB, 94.3 KB, 109 KB etc instead of your normal 1.5 MB or 2.5 MB or even larger.
Question is why?
My mistake my friend. Took the “small” pictures instead the “big” ones. sorry!
It is alright this time, but you see, there are many of us that enjoy your “big” pictures, so next time please ensure that we can access your “big” pictures.
Thanks!
The XL-pictures are online, I just changed them …
Thanks a lot Alexander, enjoyed your large as well as extra-large pictures immensely!!!
Keep it up!
Very nice watch for a woman or an Arab Prince
I do not agree with your assessment at all.
I am not an Arab and I am mot a prince – but I do absolutely love the watch, it is drop dead gorgeous.
Own a few Rollies in steel, this would be the first and only one in gold I would consider.
I live in Saudi Arabia most likely the price wil buy, Rolex is a must have in this county as is mean status. There are Rolex shops every where and they are very busy.
