BTW, why do some manufacturers spell it chronometre and others chronometer when both are COSC certified? Very confusing. ‘-)

Quite interesting, I did not expect Mido and Tissot in the List… and new to me, that Breitling is producing more than 150.000 pieces/per year. I heard they are producing only COSC certified watches.
Is Rolex over a 1 Million with Cellini and Tudor?

Mido and Tissot could play an ever bigger role at COSC in the future, that will depend on the strategy of the brands. Breitling in fact is only producing COSC certified watches today. I very much doubt that Rolex is over 1Million, since I heard they only sold some 600.000 watches in 2013.
It is interesting data but I have a question. What about the brands who normally exceed COSC and don’t even bother with the certification. There must be a few? Tell us about those?
It is interesting that a brand like Ulysse Nardin would submit a lot then later much fewer what does that mean exactly? UN is a brand that traditionally considers itself a manufacture of chronometers.

Guy I will put something together about those who don’t care about COSC. What concerns Ulysse Nardin please don’t confuse the terms Chronometer & Chronometer. There is a certified Chronometer by COSC and a type of watch named Chronometer, due to its look.
