Pre-Baselworld 2015: Hamilton Ventura Elvis80

Hamilton Ventura Elvis80 with mechanical, automatic calibre H-10

In 1957 the Ventura was one of the first electronic watches. In 1961 Elvis Presley wore a Hamilton Ventura in the movie Blue Hawaii. In 2015 the King of Rock `n` Roll would have celebrated his 80th birthday. This is the 2015  Hamilton Ventura Elvis80

Wow, that´s quite a particular design! You either like it or you hate it…

I personally would not wear a Hamilton Ventura, but I have to admit that the watch is genuine eye-catcher.

What do you think? Would you wear a Hamilton Ventura? Would you wear the new 2015 Hamilton Ventura Elvis80 that pays tribute to Elvis Presley and to the very particular design created by Hamilton in 1957?

Two versions are available:

A 42,5 x 44,6 mm version in a steel case with a quartz calibre for 995 Swiss Franc

The reference to Elvis is a bit outdated. But theses watches are definitely cool! A really original design at a very affordable price. If I did not already own the Hamilton Ventura XXL, the one with the Powermatic 80 movement and rubber strap would be tempting for me.

I wear my Ventura rather seldom. But after having ssen this post I put it on yesterday and felt quite comfortable with it. 🙂
