The Geneva based and family owned manufacture Frédérique Constant embodied its brand message to ‘Live your passion’ returning to the 43rd Annual Lake Tahoe Concours d’Elegance as a title sponsor for the fifth consecutive year.
Peter Stas, founder, CEO and co-owner of Frédérique Constant said: “The Frédérique Constant brand is thrilled to celebrate the 2015 Lake Tahoe Concours d’Elegance – an exclusive event that is visually spectacular and a homage to true purveyors of luxury. For the past 5 years, we have shared our passion for heritage wooden boats with esteemed collectors and visitors of the Concours alike. Our continued partnership serves as a reminder to enthusiasts of both boats and fine Swiss timepieces to ‘Live Your Passion’, a calling that has served as our company’s lifestyle directive and slogan.”
Frédérique Constant & the 2015 Lake Tahoe Concours d’Elegance
About the event:
This 2015 collectors’ event and prestigious wooden boat show took place on the Lake’s West Shore at Obexer’s Boat Company. This year’s event featured nearly 100 vintage and classic boat entries from runabouts and racers to unique utility boats and custom built wooden yachts, dating back to pre and post-World War II, including Chris Crafts, Gar Woods, and of course the legendary Rivas. Each boat, finely restored to their former glory of hand-polished wooden hulls and chrome accents, did glisten on the pristine waters of Lake Tahoe under clear blue skies, and turned the heads of over 5,000 spectators.
About the watches:
With a case diameter of 40mm, offered in both stainless steel and rose gold plated, the Frédérique Constant Runabout Moonphase Automatic feature hand-applied Arabic indexes with a silver –partly guilloché- dial, protected by a diamond-hard convex sapphire crystal. Both Runabout models feature a see-through case back. Functions of the Runabout include hours, minutes, seconds, day, date, month and a moonphase feature.
The Frédérique Constant Runabout is powered by the FC-365 automatic calibre, which has 25 jewels and a 42 hours power reserve. It is water resistance to 50 meters. As an acknowledgement of the work they do and the passion with which they do it, the Riva Historical Society flag is etched into the case back glass. Each new Runabout Moonphase Automatic model is limited to 2’888 pieces and is delivered in a special gift box with a miniature replica of a wooden boat.
